Kayaking the Southern Zone
Costa Rica Kayak Tour is based in the country’s mostly undeveloped Southern Zone on the Osa Peninsula in the small riverfront town of Sierpe. Sierpe is the gateway to the Corcovado National Park, Drake Bay, and the other natural attractions of the Osa. National Geographic describes the Osa Peninsula as the most biologically intense place on earth. You are likely to see more monkeys, reptiles, birds, aquatic and plant life here than anywhere you have traveled Because much of it is protected as park and preserve, the pristine environment is intact and is likely to remain so.

Terraba and Sierpe Rivers
Paddling with the Costa Rica Kayak Tour you’ll experience a variety of water environments: swift water (some brief whitewater) in the Terraba as you follow the twists and turns as the river journeys from the Talamanca mountains to the Pacific coast and flowing tidal waters in the Sierpe as you paddle along the river and through extensive mangroves near the Pacific coast and up river into wildlife intense jungle.
